We are looking for a Certified Surgical Technologist, passionate about providing exceptional care for patients, and committed to helping us grow our Outpatient Surgery Center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans for and obtains the equipment and supplies needed for assigned procedures according to physicians' preference and specific patient needs. Responsible for the ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution of all supplies used in the Operating Room.
- Prepares equipment and supplies according to manufacturer's recommendations and specifications for uses during surgical procedures.
- Monitors sterile field during procedure and takes appropriate measures to insure integrity of sterile field.
- Assists team with safe and appropriate operating room turnover times. Provides support as needed to members of the surgical team.
- Promotes a safe environment. Takes appropriate action in emergency situations, being aware of and controlling hazards which may endanger patients, visitors, and employees. Identifies and reports environmental concerns to the management team.
- Maintains accountability for instruments according to policy throughout the surgical procedure.
- Completes sterile processing of equipment.
Requirements
- Must have graduated from an approved Surgical Technology program
- Must have a current Surgical Technician Certificate (CST)
- Minimum of 1 year experience.
- Experience working in ortho and/or spine implant cases; robotic surgery a huge plus
- BLS - American Heart Association - required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time during procedures and wear radiation safety aprons
